Diving in & committing to so many plants I knew an outdoor greenhouse was needed. Looking at all options...I decided to build one to last. Using treated Studs...greenhouse plastic, chickenwiring and Shade Nursery cloth. Measures 7ft high, 8 ft long and 6 ft wide. Yesterday top temp at noon was 115°..... The nursery shade cloth and vent stabilized it to 85°
Is there a temperature thats too hot?
. So far Coleus are doing well. If anyone has any suggestions feel free.. also if you want the plans I would be happy to send them

Looks great and the plants seem healthy.
How is it ventilated? Might need some sort of ventilation when summer heat arrives!

For some reason I can't download a photo...but Yes I built a prop open type window vent on the back. The top picture shows it. I make sure they get plenty of air

I included a large drop down hinged vent window which I understand is important. Also it's been very rainy and raw over the past few weeks with temps between 43°&59 ° .....only a day here & there of Sunny weather in the 70's . I've been using a small ceramic heater on low to keep the Greenhouse at around 75°....but its a bit dry heat...... I've been monitoring water... Bought a pump Mister...... Is it OK to mist the Coleus when they seem to need it??? I've been reading the Greenhouse section...

It should be OK to mist them as long as your circulation is good.. they can get that stringy white mold that will eventually lead them down a dark road if you don't have good air flow .. as would any plant but some can take it better than others

Thanks!! Yesterday & today We actually had a few breaks of Sun its been so rainy & damp. Been using the small ceramic disc heater on & off overnights have been in low 40's ....

So I've opened the Vent window completely as well as the door to get some air flow the past few nice days for a fewchours to get air in.......I really appreciate the info on venting. I will keep an eye out on that mold too..... which I've seen in my indoor Greenhouse seed trays . Monitoring moisture well. Thanks!!!! Thumbs up
