Do you recall how tall the plant was? The way the female flowers are fused with the spathe is pretty neat. How were they growing this? Was it terrarium like humidity?

Hi Evan,

For the plant: see picture. Not a thriving, good looking plant at all, so I did not bother to upload that one. It was growing in a pot in the tropical greenhouse. Rather humid. But as it is in a pot it may have been there just for the show. There a great number of plants they keep in the non-public parts but some of these go sometimes on display. At first I did not give it a good look, but then I noticed this strange 'growth' on the spathe and took a better look, discovering the female flowers. Then tried to take a picture of these flowers with as little plant as possible but also this one in all its ugliness for my own collection.

It is pretty tattered but has quite a few blooms. Thanks for the information.
