Yes, but all my bee balm is labeled, and none looks like this. Also, this doesn't have any fragrance.

The leaves on my plant are very heavily textured--moreso than the beautyberry. And I didn't have any beautyberry to transplant.

I'm sort of hoping it's a salvia, but none of that sharp salvia scent--or much of any scent I can register other than "leaf"--and the texture and veining doesn't remind me of any salvias I have.

I can see there's an old stem from which new growth is coming from so it would appear to be a sub-shrub.

Salvia urica has little scent to the leaves (according to some on a forum) and the stems appear to be fuzzy but it may not survive winters in your zone, although the poster on the forum was in zone 5 and overwintered it in a sunroom.

Based on its zone tolerance S. urica wouldn't survive here--it won't take much of a freeze at all, and I didn't overwinter this one, but it remained green all winter.

Some plants will tolerate lower zones, a lot depends on micro climates and whether you have a mild or hard winter. I've had 'tender' salvias survive for years until a hard winter kills them off, but very few salvias do well in our 'cool' climate.

You will get a better idea when, or if it flowers.

I finally got some blooms, and immediately recognized it as the Salvia glutinosa I relocated last fall.
