Your photo when enlarged is giving an overlay of broken bars of light and dark green, with only around the top half inch showing.

I don't know what is causing this, could you try uploading another photo?

Also could you give your location, if it is wild growing or cultivated, and some more information about the growth habit, i.e is it a shrub or herbaceous.

I don't know why you are seeing it that way, Janet. The photo looks normal to me. I see almost the whole plant laying on a newspaper. The language appears to be Croatian. There seems to be seed heads of the fluffy type, kind of like dandelions if you know what I mean but probably much smaller and each held closer in to each other. I know, still not a lot of information to help identify it.

I did see that the leaflets might be trifoliate; it's hard to tell... if so, then what I am seeing as seed heads must instead be flower heads, right?

OK, looking at google images Trifolium arvense seedheads do look fuzzy and the leaflets are narrow looking. Could be...

I simply picked a couple of words and google translated, both came up Croatia. Rabbit Foot Clover is a common name for Trifolium arvense.
