Lynn gave me some rollers last week. I hadn't known there was such a thing. They look like marbles with scales. Some were so tiny it was hard to tell which way was up!

Mary you are going to fall in love with the rollers. Very prolific (most of them) and such tough plants, nothing seems to bother them. : )

Mary, Plant some of them upside down and then watch them. They turn themselves over to get right side up. Kinda' neat, don't you agree.

They sure do. Either that or the triffids are righting them twit.
My hirta are growing like crazy right now.

Now why would the triffids do such a nice thing like that?

Be so glad when I learn the difference in Sempervivum and Jovibarba maybe then I will recognize a hirtas. Is there any hope for me? lol be kind, remember I'm old as dirt.

Jovibarba hirta Col de Turini, see the little balls (immature offsets), they will fall/roll away from the parent plant before rooting.

Sempervivum arach 'Ali' see the stolons (stems)? The offsets will stay attached to the parent rosette while rooting.
