Two of my daylily beds have nutsedge. It can cause madness because whenever you pull one out (especially if you let it get pretty big) two or three pop up from the same area. I online researched it and found a number of products that are available to kill it. My problem is: can I spray it on the daylilies as well---without hurting the daylilies?

At our house, we use the herbicide "Sedgehammer" to control nutsedge and have had excellent results. We spray it in our daylily beds and everywhere else where we have sedge weeds, and have never lost any plants (other than the sedges!) At this point, we have almost completely won the battle against this horrible weed.

Thanks, Dave---will try that. Do I have to be careful to get as little as possible on the daylilies---or does it matter as to their exposure to it?

When I spray, I don't even try to avoid the daylilies. It gets all over the daylilies and anything else. (But the directions do say something about testing it first on a non-important plant.) I'm just telling you about our experiences.
