At our house, we use the herbicide "Sedgehammer" to control nutsedge and have had excellent results. We spray it in our daylily beds and everywhere else where we have sedge weeds, and have never lost any plants (other than the sedges!) At this point, we have almost completely won the battle against this horrible weed.
