Update. I was able to root the spiderwort by sticking the cuttings in moist soil in the garden bed, about 4 inches deep. So excited this worked. Very easy too. Thanks for all the help everyone! Smiling

So glad they rooted for you! I threw hands full over the fence a few weeks ago. All the rain had caused it to spread where I didn't want it. It rooted on top of oak leaves (that I threw over the fence a month earlier)! When the weather gets really hot here, the plants disappear. As soon as it cools a bit in the fall, they pop up again.

Well, when it get into the high 90s to low 100s, spiderwort and friends just melt away until it cools again.
