Thread OP

I attended a Master Gardener's event in Independence MO and saw a picture of the Margaret Mitchell iris. They did not, however, have this iris to purchase. Can you tell me where I might be able to order it?

Huh, I googled it and couldn't find it. Maybe some of the other members know of it.

I couldn't find any vendors on Google but did find the entry for it here in the plant database.

Might be a challenge, unfortunately.

It was introduced in 2008 by Quail Hill Gardens from Inman, South Carolina. However, I believe they went out of business around 2009 or so and it may not have been widely distributed. Unless you can find a gardener who happens to be growing it and is willing to give you a rhizome, it may be pretty difficult to get. Sad

Welcome! althouse. It's a bummer when we see one we want and can't find it. If you know the colors sometimes you can find a different one that is much like it if you're lucky. Smiling
