I live in Ohio and have hardy Hibiscus just starting to sprout, probably 6 to 8 inches tall, it is the middle of May and they are calling for a possible frost tonight. What should I do if anything?

You could put a pail over it and weight it down with something so it won't blow over if it is windy, then remove it when the frost danger is past. My hardy hibiscus has not sprouted yet they are very late here with showing growth.
