Thread OP

I just noticed this plant growing in my front and back yard in amongst my giant bamboo. It looks a lot like poison ivy which is, of course, concerning. However, before I tear it out I wanted to make sure. I live in Portland, Oregon if that helps. I'd appreciate any help!

Welcome! Bethany. It's not poison ivy, but I'm not familiar with the plant in your picture so hopefully someone from nearer your area there in Oregon can identify it.

Agree with Sooby...definitely, 100% not poison ivy. As to what it actually is, I can't say, but I know that it isn't P.I.

It looks like young grape vine. Do you have invasive grape vines in the area, or live near a vineyard?

The leaves appear to be opposite, which would rule out a grape vine as they have alternate leaf arrangement.
