It does look like a daphne but don't most daphnes have four petals? I've been trying to see the number of petals on the ID plant but on one at least it looks like more than four. Can't be sure though. It would help narrow down the options.
It's difficult to tell how many petals there are but there could be 5. I thought I could see some purple in the throat, the stamens look to be purple and the petals maybe have purple spots?

Yes, I thought I could see that too, and better in your clip. Nearest I've come so far is Myoporum, this flower below is Myoporum laetum. The leaves don't look an exact match though:
