Myoporum crassifolium is very similar, both are endemic to New Caledonia and the Loyalty Islands.

That looks close too - some of the flowers don't have spots but maybe that's just a variation.

The description on wiki says Myoporum tenuifolium has white flowers, where Myoporum crassifolium has white spotted pink flowers so that must be it. The other photos must be misidentified I think, the New Caledonia site has both species on it.

There's a Google book online with keys and descriptions of many Myoporum. It says both tenuifolium and crassifolium can be white or spotted purple, sounds like maybe more likely in the latter. There are a lot of other myoporums described too but the print is too small on the iPad to read easily. Not sure if this link to the book will work but here goes

We don't know if this plant is growing wild. The likelihood of a species from such remote islands being in Algeria is not very likely.

I had looked at sites in surrounding locations in the hope of finding it. I went back to one, Flora de Almería which has Myoporum laetum. Almeria is directly opposite Algria on the northern side of the Mediterranean so I it could be that.

It's endemic to New Zealand but could have become naturalised in Mediterranean countries.

The key is only useful if you can follow it through from the beginning.

Agreed with the key, I was looking at the descriptions for those which could have purple spots but it was too hard to read the small print. If they all do it doesn't help.
