I was always told it was a desert rose.. But after I posted that it collapsed and asked how to save it If possible and I was told its not a a desert rose at all..
So can any of you tell me what it is?

It could be a caudex forming type plant. It looks a lot like my Dorstenia gigas.

Probably Dorstenia. The leaf scars tell you that it is not Adenium.
