I picked up a couple of those buckets from Wal-Mart. I'll have to look and see if the labels are still on them and see if I got food-grade or not. I plan to use them for plants, but so far they've been used as measuring cups for making soil mixes and dipping out water and toting it around for plants. They are still buckets instead of plant containers nodding .

That looks like a nice set up. I'm assuming you tie the tomato vines to the wires? They won't need more side support as they grow larger? And that looks like a pipe and sucker-rod fence behind it all. It'd be easy for me to be jealous of that!! It looks bull-fighting proof. I just spent a day repairing a section of fence where mine and the neighbor's bull tore it out fighting. They left me a very pronounced 'S' shaped T-post which is now on the 'metal to be recycled' pile!

Yep I use Velcro plant tape to tie the vines to the wires. For side support, I catch most of them early and pull them toward the wires. I have a few that have grown outward, and I loosely tie string to the lower part of the branch, pull it upward, and tie it off to a wire.

I did score when I bought the place with that nice pipe fence. The previous owner built that fence around one acre and added other equipment that he used for calf roping. Also a nice stable and outbuildings, and I got a really good price on it all without having to do all that work. Thumbs up
