Do you need an image to be deleted? Is it an inappropriate image that a spammer uploaded? Or did you accidentally upload a photo of something that you later learned just doesn't belong in the db?

Whatever the case, if you want to delete a photo from the db, just go open the image up and at the bottom, click on "Propose this image be deleted". Then just follow the instructions.

Oh this is helpful, I have found a few daylily duplicates that I have been able to delete myself but noticed a few in the pending queue.

I'm afraid not.

Being able to retract a proposed item is in my TODO but I haven't gotten to it yet.

So if we screw up, or make an error, is there a way to flag that error for moderators?

At the moment, no. Tree-Mailing me or the moderator(s) of the genus of the plant is the only way. It sounds like I may need to push the "retraction a proposal" functionality higher up my todo list.

Yes, because we do mess up Hilarious!

On a photo submission for Savlia coral nymph that I posted a little while ago (it's still in the moderator's queue), the location is supposed to be Cincinnati, Ohio. (but I managed to post only "c")

I just approved it, so you can go bring it up full size, scroll to the bottom and click on an action to change it.
