Could you tell us a little more about it? It looks like a dried grass.

Your location, whether it is growing wild or bought from a nursery would help.

Also, when was the photo taken, what height it is, are there any leaves further down. It looks like cuttings bunched together.

It looks a bit like feather reed grass, but more information would help.

So it does, except this doesn't have wheat ears with the long spikes off them.

I thought it looks like a Pennisetum after the seed has dropped, most of those droop.
