Could you tell us a little more about it? It looks like a dried grass.

Your location, whether it is growing wild or bought from a nursery would help.

Also, when was the photo taken, what height it is, are there any leaves further down. It looks like cuttings bunched together.

So it does, except this doesn't have wheat ears with the long spikes off them.
