My boyfriend sent this picture a few years ago. It was taken in Northern Florida (specifically Tallahassee). It's so beautiful I've been obsessed with it ever since! If anyone can help me identify it I'd be so grateful!!

Looks like a tree magnolia.

Thank you! I live in south Florida and want one. How hardy are they? It's intensely tropical so could a magnolia tree survive down here? Crossing Fingers!

Hi Katie, yes they are magnificent trees. They grow wonderfully here. If you click under the forms button on the left you'll find one for Florida gardening, I'm sure members there who have local knowledge will advise you.
