I pray my rosary every night before I go to sleep and the other night I could not find it. I had gone for a bottle of water, laid it down on the bed and when I came back he had it and the picture is just how I found it. I had to take a picture of it since it was just a very peaceful, loving moment. I told him I will get him another one to use, but this is my favorite. He agreed. Rolling on the floor laughing

I am so at a loss just now since I am still not able to do so many things I was able to do last year at this time. I get very depressed and frustrated but the little things in life like the dog and the rosary keep my heart full of love and I am so trying to have peace of mind even if I can not be as active as I would like to be. I think the most difficult thing is that I have no friends my age since they have all passed on. My memories keep me going along with Charle and my birds. My kids do all they can to keep me busy. I still mow grass on the tractor and as long as I can do something constructive and help others at the same time, I think I may just stick around for awhile longer. There is also Tony the Pony who is boarded here that I visit when i want to talk horse talk.

Well, the picture of Charlie is just adorable

Jacquie, is there a senior center near you? That might be a good place to make new friends. I know of one in my area that's just a community center, a social club for seniors. It's not a place to live or have adult day care, just a place for seniors to gather, play cards, bingo, etc. They have outings too.

Our church had a senior club too.

My Mom passed away a year ago at the age of 90. She had been living in a retirement center for 10 years and she loved it there. Though she had outlived her parents, her spouse, her sisters and sisters and brother in law, it was so nice that she had a place to make new good friends. She told me all the time that she felt so lucky to have been accepted into such a nice place.

You are fortunate to have family around. And, of course, Charlie, too.

There are several senior centers but to be honest, the people going there are not my kind of people. They are content going on bus trips and casino trips and knitting and talking about their aches and pains. None garden they all just sit and seem to enjoy doing nothing except taking their naps and eating. I am sorry if I sound nasty, but mentally I am much younger than my body and that is my problem. I love riding horse, growing things, mowing grass and I must admit I enjoy the new adult coloring books and I still do floral designs. All of my horse friends and farm friends are gone. I love to fish and most of the ladies there certainly would not go fishing. It is my fault I am lonely because I was raised to work like a man and enjoy the outdoors more than inside work. So I just do my thing as best as I can. In fact I am now going to mow the Christmas Tree field between the trees....for about an hour or so. Thanks for your concern and suggestion.

Now we have burgundy bougainvillea in the dog yard. Please enlarge the picture to see the color of this beauty. I can not wait for it to bloom more. This plant is 2 years old.

It's beautiful, JB. Is it in a pot so you can take it in for the winter?

They are all planted in the containers and go into the greenhouse in those containers in the winter. The only ones not yet planted in their white containers are the new hibiscus and the one jasmine. They will be re-potted when they are finished blooming and moved inside. It is more difficult to keep them watered but I do not like to disturb them when they are in full bloom. Thank you for your kind remarks.

That's my favorite bougainvillea color! Kind of a pinkish red - just lovely. And it looks so healthy too, it should be covered in blooms soon.

I have one that seems to be the same as yours. Mine is newly planted so I don't have a lot of color yet. It's great that you have a greenhouse to keep them happy in winter.

I water those babies every evening unless it rains, then even sometimes they still get sprayed and dampened. Thanks so much for the nice comments.
