Yup ... I tend to step on things... even when I KNOW they are there ... Grumbling

For reasons I will never know, I have never managed to cure myself of that problem.

Sorry your shovel just went crazy on you.
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Awww, I'm sorry! Sad Group hug I think it happens to everyone at least once. I remember one incident that happened to me: I took my vertigo-inflicted dog out to go to the bathroom last year and I called her to me to have her avoid my daylily bushes, but it only ended up making her lose her balance and fall right into the only seedpod I'd been able to get on that particular daylily. In hindsight, if I hadn't called her to begin with, she probably wouldn't have fallen into them. (I don't remember why, offhand, but that was an important seed pod for some reason.) There's always next year, though...

On your plant, it looks like there are still some branches with buds, so hopefully it still gives you a beautiful show soon.

We have two grandsons (2 & 3 yr olds) that were in the flower bed with us plant lavender and I was constantly telling them to Watch out for This or That
And then what do I do? Smack the plant and knock off three inflos Sad

The plant seems to be doing well and has not packed up and left me for somebody else 's front bed.

Couldn't you have a greenhouse in the new area? I live where I can't plant them outdoors but I have one that will be blooming in a week or so. You can't lose all those beauties!

I had my 75# moose of a dog break off a 5' branch of a Miami Rose in spring. He gets crazy hunting lizards and can do some real damage every now and then.
