I think it happens to everyone at least once. I remember one incident that happened to me: I took my vertigo-inflicted dog out to go to the bathroom last year and I called her to me to have her avoid my daylily bushes, but it only ended up making her lose her balance and fall right into the only seedpod I'd been able to get on that particular daylily. In hindsight, if I hadn't called her to begin with, she probably wouldn't have fallen into them. (I don't remember why, offhand, but that was an important seed pod for some reason.)
