Thread OP

I absolutely love this plant. I dug it up a few years back out of the woods by my house. I now have starts all around my yard but know nothing about it. A name and some specific info or link would be appreciated. Thx!

It is a beauty isn't it? The bees love it. But, it can be a thug in some climates; not sure where you are. It's reported to be less invasive than the green varieties but best keep a close eye. I have mine potted rather than growing it in the ground, just to be on the safe side. It would probably be fine here as I am in a colder climate but I'm just being cautious. Whistling

Looks like it has a new accepted name, too.
Variegated Japanese Knotweed (Reynoutria japonica 'Variegata')
Pretty. Too bad it's obnoxious.

Oh my, I have been in a 25 year battle to eradicate the Japanese knotweed I inherited at my house (the green kind). I cringe upon even hearing the name.

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.
