@Dave, the blue notification pops up, I click on it to see thumbs up, close it and when I switch forums, it pops back up and it continues to pop back up. I don't get new ones till I reboot. It then starts all over with that batch of thumbs up
I rebooted several times last night and night before
I thought it might be on my end but now I don't think so
Thanks for any help

Uh, @Dave....it's baaaack!
It did stop for a while. I noticed this morning that it doesn't happen on my IPhone. Is there some conflict with Windows 10. Can I do anything on this end besides reboot?
Sorry for the trouble and I know you have more important things to do, so it's okay if you take your time Smiling

Well I'm not sure what's causing it so it's hard to answer that question. It sounds like your computer is caching and saving an old copy of the web page.

I made changes to how the website instructs your browser to not cache copies of the pages. It may be that it will take a little time (a day?) for your computer to notice the change on the site. If it's still happening tomorrow I'd like to know.

I had this problem yesterday...the same new system message kept popping up. So the last time this happened, instead of clicking on the "new message," I clicked on "View past system message" and this action stopped the loop.

I'm looking into what might be causing this. It's hard because I haven't seen this happen at all that that makes it difficult for me to track it down, unfortunately.

Just a thought...

Many times the system is slow in recognizing my clicking of the thumbs up icon on a post. So...I'll click again, nothing, then click again. I'm wondering if the multiple clicking on the icon is causing multiple system message alerts?
