And someone mentioned adding pea gravel to the mole tunnels. That won't stop them. But crushed gravel with sharp edges will give them trouble. But they will just tunnel around that. You have to actually frighten them with the fear of predators or eliminate their food sources to get them to go bother someone else.

Japanese Beetles. I have been using a couple of traps and it does catch them. But I am probably catching the neighbors also.

Hmmph, my moles go after the earthworms, ignore the grubs. So I spread coffee grounds out in the part of the yard they can disturb, then water. It works as well as everything else, until the cats and my dogs get after them. The voles, well, you could shove 50 gals of water down those holes and the trees would say thanx, but it wouldn't even begin to do anything but cool the dirt off for the voles. 3rd year of drought, for once my bugs are minimal, more grasshoppers than anything else, red wasps, even mosquitoes are minimal so far. Deer are starting to move here, tho.

Just caught up to this thread. I totally get your frustration with bunny's. They are extremely destructive and can go thru hard earned money spent on plants as well as the time it takes to cultivate these beautiful plants. Your hostas are to die for.. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

I have had to grow many plants in pots because of critters that think the garden is their salad bar. Even better yet Plantskyyd had totally cleared up the huge deer problem I had for years. This was the first year I used plantskyyd and had worked so well against rabbits, gophers, ground squirrels and voles…. It's a great product and I put down the grannuals. Easy no smell and the deer and critter war is over…they have disappeared. Poof… Even the apples, grapes, strawberry trees , nut trees all are full for the first time in years. Not to mention the hydrangeas , many flowers and trees are all in full bloom for the first time in many years.
That's my story and I'm sticken to it..
And a big Thank You! to @crawgarden Thank You! who suggested to try plantskyyd. It works great.. I tip my hat to you.
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”

There is a colony of TNR cats living in the neighborhood so the small critters like chipmunks, rabbits, moles and voles are almost extinct here. I do miss the chipmunks and rabbits. They never bothered what I had planted. The biggest pest right now is the spotted lantern fly. Thankfully I don't see them on what I have growing-yet. No beetles. But the mosquitos are horrendous!! OFF spray and lot's of it repeated hourly and I take the thermecell unit with me when it's peak biting time-which is always. Long pants and a long sleeve shirt. Any exposed skin gets attacked. I might consider a bee keepers suit. And even tough I haven't heard them yet, we have several large Cicada Killers making their tunnels in the rock wall along the driveway. Not exactly a garden pest but I do give them a wide birth. The cicadas have been quiet this year-I miss their song.

ANTS! They're all over the grass, the driveway, sidewalks-everywhere ant hills and more ant hills. It's unsightly.

I've always had lots of ants here. Not as bad as it used to be but still bad. We have to spray the house to keep them out and they are all over the driveway and flowerbeds.

I'm afraid to post so I don't jinx myself, but I don't really have any pests. The worst I had was when a feral cat moved in and chased away all the rabbits, but I haven't even seen it for the last couple of years now. But the rabbits never ate any plants, just the dandelions from the grass. The milkweed doesn't even have aphids this year. I do keep the birds happy with seeds and fresh water, maybe they're just doing their job and getting rid of the insects too. And I did have baby praying mantises (mantids?) this year, they're probably doing their thing too.

There is a pre-emergent that controls nut grass. Freehand with sedge control. I bought it at a farm supply store for $97/50#. It can be used with daylilies. May not be compatible with all flowers, check the label.

Armadillos. They disturb the mulch rooting for grubs. The weeds, like chamber bitters, spring up immediately in the un mulched spots.

Oh the mower monster! Been there with my Boxer, Barney. Did not like the mower or the vacuum. He got his jaw stuck on the chain link fence attacking the neighbors mower. Hubby had to get him unstuck. Allot of yelping but no injuries thankfully.

I'm most bothered by the clock/calendar lately. Somebody keeps moving the hands and flipping the pages too fast. If they would stop that, I'd have a lot more done.
