I already know about Ensata and Aitkens. I have some that I need to ID, as well as adding more to my collection! Also, what is a good learning about siberians resource? i am looking carefully at some of the ones I have to try to ID them, and discovering all kinds of interesting little details that I don't know how to talk about!

I ordered two Iris books yesterday evening. One is Beardless Irises by Kevin C. Vaughn. I want to know more about them too. Sticking tongue out I got mine from Amazon, but here's a link for one at Barnes & Noble on sale. Schreiner's has it for a little more. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/...

Definitely recommend Joe Pye Weed Garden. Book: Siberian Irises by Currier McEwan.

I am a little surprised that there isn't a separate forum for siberian irises here. Although maybe there are a few long threads that I could find if I searched? Like the "what did you do in the iris garden today" thread. Just printed out the order form for Joe Pye Weed! I will also look for the book at betterworldbooks.com. my favorite postage free book site.

Some of our people come from CA & other regions which are not happy conditions for Siberians. Which is your area to garden?

I am in NE Iowa, which is next to Siberia, thus perfect for Siberians! They have PCI or LA in other areas that I wouldn't be able to grow where I am.
