I have a notification that says my photo is associated with Someone else's photo (The one right above it) What does it mean?

My pic has nothing to do with hers other than its a great iris. 😊

I don't believe your photo is being associated with that particular persons but with the same plant in them database. You apparently posted a photo in a forum thread and someone though it should be in our database so they entered it there. If you open a photo in a thread and you will see a message at the bottom that say "Associate with a plant in the database". You can enter a plant in the database by clicking on the link and choosing the plant it is associated with. Both the person who posted the photo and the one making the association earn acorns and new images get added to our database.

Jay is right. This one appears to have been associated with the iris "Abstract Art." Is that correct or not?

Here are two photos you posted in a thread. The first one has been associated with a plant in the database, the second one hasn't. You can see the difference in how they appear. The first one is linked to the database and will provide visitors more info on the plant and makes the site more interactive.

It has nothing to do with the image above yours. The notice you got meant that I imported/associated your image to the database from a thread. As one of the Plant Admins, I often find nice images when cruising various threads and think they would be wonderful additions to the database here. It just so happens that I had added an image to that same database entry but it has nothing to do with your image other than they are both of the same iris cultivar. nodding Thumbs up

Ok. That makes sense.

Forgive my delayed responses.

I am still learning the sight. This is the first time I found this thread again.

Ah, but don't forget that you only receive notification on the Home page if you set your profile to notify you when threads you started or responded to have new replies. I'm not sure what the default is, but it would be a good idea to check to see if your profile is set to notify you.
