This one and the other photo uploaded belong to the cv Mandarin Wind. Mandarin Orange is a Barry Schlueter's cv different from this one.

Adding a bit more info. This cv and many ending in "... Wind" belong to the Tradewinds serie and were developed - and patented I think - by Yoder Brothers Inc so they have no relation with Tropic Escape. Its name is just Mandarin Wind.

This will be easy to fix. I can simply remove the Tropic Escape part of the name, but do all of the photos show the Yoder Brothers' hibiscus or are some of them illustrating the Tropic Escape bloom?

I really appreciate your input. We're very fortunate to have someone with your knowledge checking these entries.

Costa Farms, which sells hibiscus under the trademark Tropic Escape is a reseller of known varieties and they just change their names (they say some are of their own). All pictures are Mandarin Wind and all belong to the only one known developed by Yoder Brothers.

Thank you, Carlos. Sounds like a major overhaul of the Tropic Escape entries is in order.

Thanks Carlos! I was given the wrong name when I was gifted this plant. Thanks for the correction.
What do you know of the 'Hibiskiss Series' plants ? I was told 'Creole Lady' is now sold as 'Hugs and Kisses'. I heard that all the other plants in the 'Hibiskiss Series' are just renamed. (?)

HibisKiss and Tropic Escape are most, if not all, cvs from Dupont nursery and HVH (Hidden Valley Hibiscus).
Attached you cand find a small table that it was made a few years ago but it only shows the synonyms for the Dupont cvs.

Thank you, Carlos. Now I know what I'll be doing this evening when the gardening has to stop. Smiling

Entries have been merged and corrections have been made for the cultivars listed in the table. I still have to track down the real names of some Tropic Escape and HibisKiss entries, but they'll all be corrected someday.
