Thread OP

Hi :
I have the Phylloxera galls on my pignut hickory and the leaves are dropping like mad, so I am not sure how the aphids come out in July if the gall itself causes the tree to loose leaves where the gall grows now. (May 30th-June7th). If I can prevent the aphids from springing free, I would have the tree sprayed before they hatch.

Please let me know your thoughts
Margaret

Welcome! Margaret. Not sure where you are but this info from North Carolina may be of interest, especially the notes about treatment (or not).
