Hi everyone on this hot day in Georgia.....I just received this Lc. Schilleriana in the mail today. It is a division, it has two leads with three possible new growths on it. The problem I have is it arrived in what I call bead shape. The psbulbs are shriveled and the leafs are wrinkled, looks like dehydration. The roots are not in the best of shape. The new little growth eyes look good and green. I know I need to put in it ICU. Do I need just to lay it under the growth bench or pot it and put it in full shade? I watered it very well when I unpacked it. The plant was very warm when I unpacked it, I did receive it bare rooted. This site is very informative and a lot of great people on here. Thank you for all the help.

I would pot it in moss and keep it in shade until it recovers.

Thank you JIm...It had a little moss wrapped in tin foil around it. Like I said when it got to me the plant was baking. The moss and water was very warm. The majority of the roots feel spongy. I am going to try them back before I pot it. Thank you again.

Ps...did I spell it write according to the boffins, Jim?

Yes, the spelling is correct but the genus has changed to Cattleya.

Hi Jim, just a update on the C.Schilleriana. It is still hanging in here and the leaves, even though still wrinkled are back to feeling like a catt. leaf. The three growth eyes are looking promising. When one start to grow I will take a picture of it. Thank you again for your advice on this. Mike
