Hi everyone,

I saw this when I was hiking in the countryside near Ankara, Turkey. Among many wildflowers this one was surrounded by bees and butterflies, so I am curious what it is. The flowers resemble forget-me-not, but the foliage looks a bit different to me.

Anchusa officinalis I think ..

It could be Anchusa azurea .. (I'm leaning more to this)

This site will surely be useful to you!

http://www.turkiyebitkileri.com/index.php?dil=tr&id=2&family...

Anchusa officinalis isn't listed on the site but it appears to be in Turkey.

A list of Families under which you can find genera and species.

Thanks for the reply and the website suggestion. Very useful indeed!

After some research on the Internet, I agree that it should be A. azurea.
