The lady that gave me this plant says hers grows in full sun in Houston and gets orange flowers. Does anyone know what this plant name is?

It looks like red tubular flowers to me. I just got this photo from the lady who gave me the start.

I think the leaves belonging to the flowers are the darker green ones. I first thought Justicia, but look at Uruguayan Firecracker Plant (Dicliptera suberecta)

The leaves don't look quite as fuzzy as those on Dicliptera suberecta, there looks to be a lot of species but the flowers look correct.

I agree. I have the D. suberecta and it is much fuzzier. Perhaps it's location and sun that makes it appear different but there are others that it could be too. edit to add photo of foliage.
