So that book is roughly $1.25 a page. Hmm who ever buys that book should be the best martagon lily person ever. Then again if everyone here chips in say $25, we can buy the book, then just let everyone read it lol

Not sure what happened, but I got home from work today. One of the martagon lilies that was seed bearing in 4 pods, was laying on the ground. The base looked torn not chewed as if it were an animal eating it. Grumbling Grumbling

It's common to put them in water in late development, but the growth stage is way to young to hope for results now, even for martagons.

Allowing seed to develop on lilies that aren't well established in the ground can be quite taxing on the plant's future growth next year. Except that the whole stem severed, it would have been just as well to wait another year for seed.

On thing about martagons, the bulb will still probably increase in size some, even without any green above ground.
