Do you have this garden app? It's very cool. You take a photo of a plant with your phone, the app gives you possible matches to ID a plant, weed, or tree. I find it pretty helpful. I'm an Android user, not sure if it's available for Apple products too.

Karen, what is the name of the app? (When I click on the link I get an error message that says "this content is not available in your country yet")

Sandy, on the error page (google search page), try typing in like that app in the google search bar and choose the garden app. That may be the one she's referring too.

Yes, sorry the link didn't work. It's called Like that Garden. It's pretty useful for me.

I've tested it on stuff I knew for sure, like impatiens, vinca, calla lily, and geranium. While in Fl. I got an ID on a palm tree and a couple of tropical flowers that I didn't recognize. Yesterday I used it for a weed- sweetgum.... It's pretty good.

Cool! Thanks for this! I love my phone and all it does to help me. Now it can help in the garden....or awhile at the plant store with those vague plant tags! I tip my hat to you. ETA Oops! Not for Android ??

I don't know why the link didn't work. Again

Or go to apps and try searching in quotes "like that garden flower search".

There is a "Garden Answers Plant Identification" at the Apple App Store. I just downloaded it, when it stops raining I will take it outside and test it.

Ok, I just tested it with pictures in my files. It gave the correct identification showing other pictures of the same for comparison, and it gives you the common name, not the Latin name. But it is not bad.

I have a few apps - all work some of the time and not some of the time. I have had great luck just typing in a brief detail of description in Google and have had 100% luck identifying plant.
