I don't know if i do yet, i just follow what they tell me and i am so glad i was able to save it.

I, too, become really fond of my jades. I have insurance on the original - I grew babies from it, so I have a whole family to love. I just took a fallen green leaf, let it dry for a few days, and stuck it into a new pot. I am sure there are other ways to propagate jade and that this site will have that somewhere.
