I have already added most of my pictures and now I am in the process of adding all my plants to the data base so in the spring I will be able to post all my pictures as they bloom or come-up. I am really excited for spring to arrive and it's not even Halloween yet! *Blush* I have planted about a hundred things this year and 85 of them were hostas! I need lots and lots of pictures to get me through this winter so please keep them coming. Lovey dubby

I have also posted most of my pictures. Have some from a friends garden i need to get him to identify. I've only planted a few this year so next years pictures will be showing what another year of growth has done to my established plants. I am working on a small bed of 'mice' and will add more next spring.

I like it Paul, especially the way you got the rocks tucked-in! Looks real sweet. Lovey dubby

Mine are actually in a large pot right now. Some of them are not even mice just extra small hostas. But my raised bed has liners in it right now and I have to wait for them to get a bit bigger so I can plant them in the soil around the house. Next year I am going to make the beds wider by two feet and I figure that will give me around seventy to eighty square feet extra and I will need every bit of it. Then I would like to turn the nursery into a mouse bed with rocks and things like Paul. Any suggestions?? I also have a statue of a little girl kneeling and I might be able to put her in there. What do you guys think? I want it to be attractive and cute. Blinking

Susan...that's going to be one lovely bed next spring and even better the next year. You plant like I do, for immediate effect. I bet in a few years you'll be moving some. I like rocks for contrast....also an occasional Heuchera. It's your garden so what pleases you is most important. Rocks give a little interest in the winter when the hosta are hibernating but won't crowd anything out.

Yes, thank you Paul. I am planing on moving all of them because the bed is just a nursery right now. Hopefully I can get some nice rocks and turn it into a mouse bed for minis. I recently dug up my baby Heuchera from around the foundation because it was the same color as the mulch Sad It was the 'Georgia Peach' you just gave me the idea to plant it in the raised bed. I got them around the first of September from Yahoo Coop and I did not think they would live, so late in the season. I actually stuck them in the ground between some hostas and forgot about them and they thrive anyway! Hurray!

Georgia Peach actually likes sun -- mine is doing much better since I moved it to a sunnier location... so pick a sunny spot in the bed for it! I love your ideas with the Mini Mouse Bed!!!

Thanks Christine ! Big Grin I did notice the Georgia Peach taking off since I moved it. I guess I will let it stay out front so they will get a lot of morning sun. Thumbs up

Yeah -- someone over on the Heuch forum said that they seem to like mroe sun that previously noted -- so I moved all mine and I was amazed at the growth... they took off -- almost doubled in size! I got babies so they are not HUGE but the growth was amazing (and w/o any fertilizer)

That is so interesting! Glare I did buy them as a shade plant to mix in with the green hostas. Then I only moved them because they were the same color as the mulch. Shrug! Now I need better contrast for the red mulch and a new shade plant? Confused
