Ever have some lilies bloom and once they do you don't remember having planted them? I have a group in the front yard that look just like a cluster by my mailbox. I don't really like them so unless they changed colors i don't know why i would have planted more of them

Is it possible that they're self-seeded?

They are on different of the yard probably separated by 40 feet. And the "new" cluster I'm referring to has multiple stems.

You don't suppose your mailman is playing tricks on you, do ya? No joke, mine did it several times. Then he'd come around when it was blooming and say: " Oh, that's a pretty one, where did you get that one?" It wasn't just limited to lilies. It was Glads, Dahlias, Iris as well, anything he could bury on the sneak.. He's retired and moved now, but it was a fun game for many a year. He knew every lily company name and box that came, calling me ahead of time to alert me " We've got a box to open" just to be sure I'd be around.. He enjoyed it, opening the boxes as much as I did. But as they say, nothing that good lasts forever.

that would be quite funny Lorn. I hardly see our mail person though. Lol I could not even tell you if it's a male or female carrier.

I think the ones by the mailbox the 'Tiny Dancer' is a pretty weak strain though. Every year it gets lighter in color. Granted it's planted in full sun, but they are that color when first open as well. Maybe I will replace them with another cultuvar this fall. Though it is a great performing cluster
