Thread OP

I am growing spaghetti squash, butternut squash, eggplant and watermelon and have a problem with pickle worms. They are drilling into the fruit through the blossom and sometimes into the sides of the fruit and laying eggs inside the fruit. This kills the fruit and dies....getting incredibly frustrated with these nasty worms. I am looking for a solution that eradicate them the fastest way possible. I have use Thuricide (BT) but it only helps for a day or so and I have to reapply. It only slows them down as well. Are there any other methods you use?

It might help to sprinkle diatomaceous earth liberally around each fruit. Maybe?
