Received 10 of these in the mail today, plan to grow them inside, I plan to put 3 per pot is it ok to start them now if they are kept inside and when will they grow and bloom? Is there anything special I should know about Calla Lillies specifically? They are black Calla lillies and were not easy to find, don't want to mess them up Sad

Thank you Smiling

Hi Aaron. Welcome! to NGA

Plant them now. Its a little late but next spring will be really late.

How big are the pots? I would think 3 bulbs would need at least a 12 inch wide pot. Callas do go dormant in the winter so be prepared to winter them over somewhere cool and dry OR lift them and store them in the refrigerator in peat moss until next spring. They need 3 months of dormancy.

I have 12 in pots. If they are inside and watered will they grow? I understand they will bloom at non-traditional times but I wanted that....

Watering them in the winter won't keep them green. They will be taking their winter nap no matter what you do.
