Robin, those are so cute! That's a project I plan to do with my young nieces and nephews when they come up in December. Thanks for the great tutorial!

I love ladybugs so I'm interested in trying some of these. Always thought I would try a ladybug bowling ball, but what I say and what I do are two different things. Hilarious!

Thanks all. I love these little bugs and I want to do the bowling ball one too.

Robin,

I was wondering how the white spray paint adheres to the glass? Do you use a special type?

No I use plain Walmart brand. These won't be out in th weather since they are actually to wear or for a fridge. They last for quite a while when used normally. I would imagine if someone used it for a worry stone, the paint might not last too long. If you are using rocks then I would recommend using an outdoor kind of paint.

This photo was taken at the family cottage in western PA last weekend. I had help from my great niece and great nephew with the painting
Thumb of 2011-10-17/philljm/184101

This is the only photo I have of some of the finished products. Please ignore the background! *Blush* You can see that the kids and I like dots. One of my co-workers told me to put some paint on a sponge, and use the eraser to make the spots.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and help! ~Jan

PS- there were a LOT of adults helping me imbibe,! I was hesitant about posting it because of the bottles, but the rock critters have already gone to their 'new' homes

Those are fantastic and such fun making them. Great job. Who cares about all the bottles, sometimes I wish I had a couple of them.

Oh absolutely! Everything up there is recycled in some way, shape or form - and yes, candle holders, rooting bottles and vases count as recycling

I also spent part of that weekend planting iris & heirloom daylilies that I have been collecting up at that cottage
