I am new to the site and am interested in trading irises. I am just starting to put my irises in the database. The attached pics are unknown varieties that I have gobs of. The lighter purple one is about 2 feet tall and blooms mid to late. The darker ones are about 3 feet and bloom early to mid season. They have purple at the base and some think may be Indian Chief. I also have lots of the spiderwort in the pic to get rid of.

Other varieties I have to trade (would be smaller sized due to short Michigan growing season and trying to establish new beds just a few of each variety):

bronze peacock, sable, calgary, babbling brook, ever after, baltic sea, his royal highness, shoptalk, game plan, pearl of lavendar, sweet orange spice, maria tormena, gotham city, desert lullaby, capricious candles, concertina, evening tidings, titans glory, wild plum, drama queen, sultan's dancer, autumn circus, carribean cruise, and gypsy belle.

Thanks for posting this on the iris forum also, Lindsay. I am filling trade lists this month and next but I am only swapping the shorter irises. No more TB's, BB's or IB's for this year. Just do not have the room for them. I am sure there are others on the iris forum that will be interested. Good luck!

Do you want to trade iris for iris? Or are you interested in other plants?

Pretty much iris for iris, but would be open to the big mums, daylilies, hostas, crazy daisies, David phlox, and newer coneflower scoop varieties. I also have tons of the old orange daylilies, which I call ditch lilies😀. I have lots of yellow stella d'oros and lots of pretty raspberry colored later blooming daylilies of which I don't know the name. I also could split up prairie blue eye daylilies. I have gobs of buttercups which are in full bloom right now and can split up my patriot hostas. I also have gobs of the pink mum-like flowers that spread and the feathery taller coreopsis that spreads and looks like moonbeam coreopsis on steroids.

I also have tons of lemon balm herb, spiderwort, perennial plumbago (see bottom pic not in bloom yet but want to make sure not mixing up with annual type), and the ever spreading ground cover shade plant in bottom pic (the name escapes me at the moment). I would also love any astilbe plants.

Hi Lindsay and Welcome!

I'd love to trade irises. From your list I'm interested in Bronze Peacock, Caribbean Cruise, Drama Queen, Titan's Glory, Evening Tidings, Game Plan, Baltic Sea and Ever After. Do you have a particular wantlist? You can check my plantlist and see if you are interested in any of them. I also have another 100 or so that I haven't added to my list yet.

Sorry folks. I'm all traded up except for gotham city, concertina, and sultan's dancer. I still have all the noid ones, which are most likely Indian chief. I also have the medium height lighter purple noids.

I am willing to trade for those three, if I have something you are interested in. I'm low on irises, but you can look at my list and see what is available.

Not sure why I didn't see this thread sooner. Posting now just to make a "place holder", assuming that this thread will continue into next year. I hope I'll have lots to trade then. I'm rather short of space so I'm looking for a few specific things that are in the *want* part of my plant list. I'm willing to trade anything I have for those as long as my plants are big enough. A lot of my *have* list has just been planted so I don't know how they'll be by next summer.

I will tree-mail both of you when I get a chance to look through your lists today. I've had good growth over the summer so I may be able to get some off of some of my plants. Feel free to look through my list. 😀
