I'm hoping someone can help me. I've had my money tree since April of 2015. It was thriving, getting taller with more and more leaves. I used miracle grow plant food spikes once, around June and it made it even bigger. I moved in January and it immediately started losing leaves. They would turn yellow and just fall off with the slightest touch. The tree is a shell of what it used to be. The leaves now bend downward as you can see in the photo below. Not sure why as it never did that s there any saving it? Other than moving houses the conditions the tree is in hasn't changed. Indirect, bright sunlight and watering it once a week. I can't see any signs of insect or disease.
I would pull it out of the pot and see what is doing in the root zone. You can be quite surprised, I certainly have been, several times. If it was overwatered or otherwise too wet one time, it can lose a lot of roots. Then there isn't enough root to support the plant.

Plants do not respond well to changes in location. In nature, they never move. Although the light may appear to be the same to you in its new location, the chances are that is has changed at least somewhat. That can cause leaf drop and may necessitate altering your watering routine.

It is also possible that your Money Tree is simply losing older leaves at the bottom as it adds new ones on top. These plants often develop a leggy appearance unless they are pruned or pinched back regularly.
