Yes. I routinely visit these sites to check out types that I want or to verify ID's as much as possible.

The new plant that I was raving about is named 'Monanthes brachycaulon'. I've a picture attached. I took a bunch of pictures today, but only a few were good enough to share. Not much on the web about this one, but the japanese succulent site has some more pictures. The pictures that are listed for Monanthes polyphylla look a lot closer to mine than the ones on the site for brachycaulon. That means to me that there is a question regarding ID for what I have. The quarter in my pic gives you a feel for the size of this one. They have a "leaf" structure that produces elongated rosettes that look like a semp getting ready to bloom and they put out chicks on stolons that can be long (2"). You can see a couple in this picture. I'll try to get better pictures soon - was short on time today.

Um.... Lowes. There is another one down the road that I'll be traveling by tomorrow and I will stop and see if they have anything the local one didn't get.

That plant is really nice and I know that I will probably kill it overwintering. Minimum temp is listed as 36 degrees F.

Wow, what a cool plant! It does look like elongated semps. Wonder if that one would overwinter OK in the house. It's such an unusual color too. Very nice.

That is a nice one! I like the leaf shape - one of my favorites.

In the past I know I've received some from growers that have been mislabeled. I've even received more than one variety in a clump from growers - all labeled as the same plant.

Lynn, they certainly do go through a lot of changes as they're growing up. Unfortunately patience is not one of my strong points. Whistling

Actually, it died at the end of the summer, before the cold temps arrived. I managed to kill it somehow and don't know what went wrong. I've been watching for another but so far none seen. You know how I like the small ones, but this one got away.

I've been moving and combining Forums and topics. When you move something it changes the date. I have that it does that.

Great news, my local Lowes had two small pots of Monanthes polyphylla. This is actually the same plant I was able to try last year and is probably the correct name for it.

Pictures to follow. Instructions for growing found on the next say low humidity with very good drainage, less water in winter. We'll see how it goes.

Lynn, Do you want to try some? Does your climate stay above 36 degrees? If so, perhaps it could grow outside for you all year.

I would love to try some twit. We don't stay above 36°, but I could bring it into the cool sun room. It's not heated, but doesn't get below 55° in winter. Do you think that would work?
I can't wait to see pictures. Hurray!
