Hello, I have several beautiful bushy yucca plants in my yard that sadly, need to be planted elsewhere due to the dead tree that needs to come down right next to them. I would rather replant them than chance the tree falling on them and killing them, also I will be re-doing the section of the yard they are in. The question is--I read somewhere that yucca will die when replanted, is this true? These things are glorious, they have flowered twice in the year I have lived here. Is there a way to replant them elsewhere without killing them? Also, what are the successes in planting the seeds from the pods?

When they were widening my road I received permission to dig up/rescue some plants; 4 were young Yucca plants and all of them grew just fine. Here is one:

My neighbor dug up an older Yucca and tossed it to the curb for the city trash pick up...so I took it home and (the following day) I stuck it in the ground. It did not mind one bit and is happily growing.

@Mizshelli you can't kill them. if the tree fall on it and kills the top 6 more will shoot up. I have about 25 in pots just from root pieces I planted. If all else fells contact me via tree mail and I'll send you one for postage.
