I just added a plant to the database (heuchera) and I'm the moderator, it did not give me the option to approve. I looked at the rest and all the moderators listed on the database are gone.

Adding new plants don't go through moderation, they are automatically approved and entered in.

I checked the queues and I see all the moderators are present!

That probably explains all of the misspelled and duplicate entries I've been seeing. Adding new plants definitely should go through moderation, especially if the search isn't going to pick up the alternative names for roses, which sometimes are more common in this country than the exhibition names.

I've caught quite a few duplicates in the heuchera forum also.

I have had some problems with incorrect entries in daylilies too, didn't know they were automatically approved. I only found out about one because I had the submitter tree-mail me about it.
