The stems of the bloom stalks are such an amazingly vivid color.

It is an amazing color. I suspect (well, wonder) if growing many of my plants on the table with very shallow soil might stress them a little and bring out the color. I was just out there looking at it again and one of those stems still has a couple of tiny white flowers on it. The stems are so colorful they might as well be flowers too!

Do you think you can get a close up of the bloom? One that will show all the parts and how they come together?

I agree about the stem color, if it never got blooms it would still be spectacular.

I doubt it, my camera just isn't that good. Every time I try for something like that I get blurry photos.

You need to come down next year around this time or a couple of weeks earlier. Lots to see and photo and the lilies are in peak form now. I'm real busy capping, collecting pollen and pollinating then there is all that labeling of crosses. Lots of details, like with semp breeding.
