Thread OP

We've just recently bought a new house. The previous owners planted quite a few different flowers and plants. I'd like to know what I have so I can care for them properly. This is so exciting to me!! I'm hoping someone will be able to identify what type of flower or plant this one is.?.? Thanks

Maintenance of Perennial Beds.
Campanula rapunculoides (creeping bellflower)?
If so can choke out garden perennials in the bed.

Had some appear in our perennial garden, but didn't find it as difficult to eradicate as the horticultural spotted bellflower which I once planted myself.

Definitely creeping bellflower. This is one that you should try to eradicate as soon as possible. It isn't easy to do...I have been trying to rid my yard of them for years. They have underground root systems that go on for miles.
It's really too bad they are a problem, because they are pretty and long blooming. I would love to have such a plant in my garden if only it would stay under control.

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.
