These are my first two Adeniums purchased on ebay. The first one is a tri-color and has become acclimated to the re-potting.
The second one is going to be white and came to my door yesterday from California.... still keeping it in the shade.

hodad66,
Your adenium pictured here has the very form that I think many of us are striving to achieve with our home-grown seedlings. Wide, tapering caudex that's like tree-form, and multiple branching low and close to the top of the caudex. Lovey dubby

You said it came from California...pray tell, from which ebay vendor?

I really like the shape too!! The vendor is talleyhoer and she has two more plants
showing with a "desert rose plant" search. OOPS one more.....

I just ordered some bonsai wire to spread the branches some...... ;-)

I love the caudex's. That is what I am aiming for but bought younger trees so it will be awhile. Let's hope for buds this summer.
Are you planting outdoors?
I so want to shape and graft, yours make me jealous

I bet the cost is high, but you got older trees. Have you looked at the box stores (HD L)? several people find larger cheap one that need a little work. There are several members here that sell some of there young plants and seeds.
We have places we buy around the world and are reliable. KO seeds, Dino adeniums, Riona, Anucha They are on Facebook, They have various sizes you can ask for but shipping can be costly.
Mine are not as big and nice as yours so I will have to wait till they age. I just got seeds from someone, I didn't water the last batch enough, just like when they bloom they need more water.
If you are in South Florida there are several growers (rose) who does the farmers markets. There are several members who grow there too.
My young trees will be shaped and grafted at a later date. I have only been growing them since Feb.

I am sure I will sell my excess plants. What do I need with 18 new mouths to feed? Whistling But until I see one of them flowering, even though I realize each plant could flower differently, they will stay right here.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.

It's crazy I really want them to bloom for you. I will keep following your posts.
I wanted to thank you for your web pages. I found the article on growing air plants to be helpful

I picked up some Wigert's Bonsai soil for this planting as I was worried that my first mix
might not be draining well enough. (cactus soil, orchid mix & coconut husk chunks)
