Recycling Deli Containers

Leftover chicken is not the only item that is used from this quick dinner. The container from a store-bought rotisserie chicken may be used for seed germination.

I've collected a few of these containers, too. You are right, they make great little greenhouses for seed germination.

Those long rib containers are great for germinating a bunch of short rows (like umpteen varieties of basil or hot peppers).

And tall cake containers are wonderful domes for a dozen cups of moist potting mix with cuttings stuck in them.

I do it too! I don't poke holes into it though, I just put my seedling starter pellets and germinate seeds in it.
