We just had a severe thunderstorm come through and it dumped a bit over an inch of rain. The rain was the least of it. The wind was really whipping and lightening was constant. I had several plumeria blown over, even some I had staked, but it looks like only a single, two-tip branch was broken off. All the flowers are a mess though. I had several orchids blow down that were in hanging baskets under trees and there are limbs all over the yard. What a mess.

It sounds like another thunderstorm is getting ready to hit, if the lightening and thunder is any indication.

Just got a little bit of rain and lots of thunder. The thunder is becoming less and less and the rain has stopped. I trapped a squirrel, so I have to take him/her out to the country so that it can make a new home for itself.

So sorry. The rain we all could use but those storms can be so damaging. I hope you have minimal plant damage and maybe a nice day, not to hot on Sunday for the clean up?

Its bright, sunny, and humid this morning. I cleaned up the yard yesterday and got all the plants back where they belonged. I will trim the ragged end of the broken plumeria branch today (and the stub left on the rooted plant's remaining branch) and let it callus for a few days before rooting it.

Got another squirrel after setting the trap at 7:45. I'm on a roll. It looks to be a sibling of the one caught yesterday..........at least same size. It will now join its brother/sister out in the countryside. Thumbs up
