I thought I made it without a background so it would show up 'naked' like without a box around it? What did I do wrong?

To remove the white box you'd have to have the image have a transparent background. This image you sent me had a white background.

The white needs to be edited out. It's tedious work that I may do at some point. If anyone else wants to do it and email it to me, I'll replace it.

I'm still seeing a green box with a chunk taken out. I've rebooted my computer several times since the post, but the badge didn't change. ??? Do I need to sign out and back in maybe? Not a big deal, but I'm curious.

Refresh it until you see the arch. Then return to the thread, refresh and the badge should be updated for you.

That did it! Seems a strange way to go about it, but I'm a tech ignoramus. Things like this always make me wonder what is there that I never see at all .

It's a caching issue. Since I very rarely change an existing microbadge, this issue doesn't come up. It only happens when I replace one that was already there. Your browser is saving the old one, and the process above forces it to discard the old one and store the new one.
